Homemade corn tostada with avocado slices, fried pinto beans, and diced tomato.

This was my lunch today. I used left overs from a family get together.

Let’s enjoy life for a second and breathe and or maybe a drink of water before our next thought. You never know how fast your day goes without those moments where you let yourself hear your inner feelings.

Ban on Fish considered to be unsustainable.

April 25, 2012 - Whole Foods, the Texas-based natural foods supermarket, no longer carries fish considered to be unsustainable.

The Whole Foods ban includes fish that is either overfished or caught in a harmful way, according to their website.

The popular Atlantic Halibut made the list, though the company will still sell Atlantic cod that is caught by hook and line or gillnets.

“Stewardship of the ocean is so important to our customers and to us,” David Pilat, the global seafood buyer for Whole Foods told the New York Times. “We’re not necessarily here to tell fishermen how to fish, but on a species like Atlantic cod, we are out there actively saying, ‘For Whole Foods Market to buy your cod, the rating has to be favorable.’”

Here’s a look at the list of fish that the superstore no longer sells and why.

Translation English to Spanish

Hi,

Sweet herb, Stevia, in Portuguese-Spanish speaking countries it is called, Erva Doce.

Stevia is a sugar alternative commercially as many people know.  However, its background is from the genus Sunflower family.

The sugar sweetener is 300 times sweeter than sucrose (table sugar) and is low carb.

I highly advise if you do consider trying this product to mix it with a nice sweet beverage or maybe lemon water with ginger.  I didn’t have a nice experience by taking it straight.
Anyone Spring Cleaning?!
